Insurance and self-pay

UK insurers

Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality, WPA, Cigna, Simplyhealth and Healix follow broadly the same process:

  1. GP referral. Your insurer will usually want your GP to refer you to a specialist.
  2. Authorisation code. After the referral, the insurer issues an authorisation code for the first consultation.
  3. Booking. Please contact my secretary with your policy number and authorisation code.

International insurers

Self-pay

Self-funding patients are seen. Consultation and procedure fees are confirmed in writing before any treatment is undertaken.
